About CMAT 2025

CMAT is an All-India test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) since 2019. CMAT was earlier conducted by AICTE, before the Central government created the National Testing Agency to conduct various All-India level examinations.


CMAT 2025 was conducted on January 25, 2025, in two slots between 9 AM to 12 Noon (Slot 1) and 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM (Slot 2).

CMAT scores are accepted by all AICTE-approved institutes and colleges. 
Some of the top colleges accepting CMAT scores are:

Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai & Gurgoan
PUMBA, Pune
GIM, Goa

 
CMAT 2025 Pattern
The CMAT had followed the five-section pattern introduced in 2022.  
It was a three-hour test, with five sections, and no sectional timings. The sectional break-up is as shown below:

Total 100

Though, it is not explicitly mentioned, the section order remains fixed (as shown above) in the test.
CMAT allocates 4/-1 marks for correct and incorrect answers respectively.
 
Note: The medium of the test was English.
Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for CMAT as per the Information Bulletin is as below:
1) Be a graduate or have an equivalent degree from a recognized university.
2) Students in their final year of a bachelor's degree can also apply if their results will be available before the commencement of admissions for the academic year 2025.
3) The candidate must be a citizen of India.
4) There is no age restriction for appearing in CMAT 2025.

Important Dates

The dates for CMAT 2026 are yet to be announced. They will be updated here after the announcement. The dates for various stages of the CMAT process are:
