CMAT is an All-India test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) since 2019. CMAT was earlier conducted by AICTE, before the Central government created the National Testing Agency to conduct various All-India level examinations.

CMAT 2026 was conducted on January 25, 2026, in two slots between 9 AM to 12 Noon (Slot 1) and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM (Slot 2).

The CMAT 2027 exam, conducted by NTA, is expected to follow a similar schedule to previous years, with the official notification released in late 2026. Tentative dates includes the exam in late January or early February 2027.

CMAT scores are accepted by all AICTE-approved institutes and colleges.

The eligibility criteria for CMAT as per the Information Bulletin is as below:
1) Be a graduate or have an equivalent degree from a recognized university.
2) Students in their final year of a bachelor's degree can also apply if their results will be available before the commencement of admissions for the academic year 2027.
3) The candidate must be a citizen of India.
4) There is no age restriction for appearing in CMAT 2027.
